In his 2011 book Quantum Doctor particle physicist Amit Goswami applies quantum theory to the underpinnings of allopathic medicine, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and homeopathy. As an allopathic physician I have struggled to get the morphogenetic representation of my vital self embodied in my mind/brain to fully grasp these ancient healing traditions. I am just too indoctrinated in my narrow view of reality, oblivious to the quantum collapse that occurs with each and every conceptual choice made.
My choices are rejections, since there is no other way,
but what I reject is more numerous,
denser, more demanding than before.Szymborska
Professor Goswami does a nice job explaining the broad conceptual metaphysical basis for these healing practices. I am grateful to him for his patience with his sometimes recalcitrant student.
But what I really like is his simple meditation organizer, do-be-do-be-do. 5 minutes each. Do. Concentrate on the breath, mapping each inhalation and exhalation into consciousness. Be. Sit in open awareness and drink in the wonder of your presence in the moment and in the presence of all around: the chirping of birds in morning chorus, the distant din of early morning commuters, the smell of freshly ground coffee. Do… Be…Do……
It makes me smile.
