I was biking home on our local rail trail – The Swamp Rabbit – on Tuesday when I happened to share part of the ride with Don.
“Hey isn’t that a Raleigh International?” I asked. “I remember wanting one of those really bad when I was in high school.”
“Yep” he answered.
“You converted to index shifting I see.” “Didn’t that come with Campy Record? Still got the crank and derailleur?”
“I think I threw it out last weekend. Just laying around gathering dust.”
“Too bad. So beautiful” I replied. “If you didn’t here’s my card. Give me a call. I love that old Campy stuff”.
We parted ways a mile or so further on.
Thursday my receptionist buzzed “There’s a smelly guy in bike clothes here with something for you.”
To Don
May you be safe.
May you be healthy.
May you be happy.
May you live with ease.
May you ride many pleasant miles with gentle breezes to your back.
With gratitude,
DFD
WOW! That’s so awesome!
Wow! So awesome!
You offered metta, an act of loving kindness. I just learned about metta as part of a meditation class I’m taking. So cool to make this connection. Thanks for sharing your act of loving kindness for all to witness.
